Weeds Flowers Chicks and Ducklings on the Homestead

Weeds Flowers Chicks and Ducklings
Starting where I seem to spend too much time. This week is about Weeds Flowers Chicks and Ducklings on the Homestead. Weeds… yup, they never go away do they?? I am happy to say that the more plants the less weeds. Thank goodness!! This was round one for the pop up bag. I had one more after this. However, there were some added buckets too. How much did I get done. Well….

Starting on the Craft room side… and the Big River Birch. Adding a new bird bath and small ladder. Happy to find several volunteers from the Black Eyed Susans and a couple hostas.
The bright yellows are popping up everywhere.
Dare I say most of the ‘weeds’ were clover which is easy to pull, thankfully. I was able to get that whole side bed done. AND I started the bedroom side.
I decided the other day that I need to extend the bed for the Oak Leaf Hydrangea just off the photo to the right. This will make it easier for Joe to cut the grass. That will be another days project however.
Okay, I know there are weeds in this photo. However, this is on the bedroom side flower bed. Just in front of the wheel barrel and American Flag. She is a beauty, right?? Thank you Paula! Somewhere behind that is the geranium that Dad gave me too. I need to finish the weeds on this side. I started with the front as far as I could reach.

Do you know what it means when a potato plant blooms?? Joe could not remember either. Well, it means that it is starting to produce potatoes. I m looking forward to seeing how these do. That and the rest of the garden.

Here is a peek at what is happening with our two weeks chicks and our one week ducklings. They are making messes and having fun. I had to do some rearranging, take out the box, remove some shavings and add a clay saucer.
Damien asked me when the ducklings could take their first swim. I am thinking that we will wait a a week or two until I will be ready for that. Hahaha. Yes, I will share here and on the Hamscher Homestead YouTube channel. Here is the link to Duckling number 5 hatching…

Thanks for sharing. I so enjoyed seeing all that you and Joe have done. It’s so beautiful where your homestead is located. Love all of Gods creatures that you are giving a beautiful home to. This went well with my morning cup of coffee. Hubby is making some progress. He’s trying so hard in his therapy sessions. Has a positive attitude with all that’s going on with his body. I spend everyday with him. Have a beautiful day, miss watching your tutorials and chatting with everyone. 🙋🏻♀️🌻☀️😎🦆🐥
