Tomatoes, Chicks, Hello and other stuff

Tomatoes, Chicks, Hello and…
So much to tell you from the Homestead this week. Not just Tomatoes, Chicks, Hello and some rearranging too! Thanks to a friend who had more then she needed, I was able to can just a few quarts of Tomatoes. The house smelled so yummy, Joe even kept coming into the kitchen. Why could you smell it?? Well, because I boiled the tomatoes to get the skin peeled off. Dad was also happy to see that I was using the family spaghetti sauce pot. Not for sauce, but just the same.
LuLu and her three little chicks are sure not easy to get photos of. The Littles hide behind her or even the “house” crate. I was happy to get one with all four of them together, YEAH!! The third photo is the Frizzle that is still in the house! Joe promises to get the section of pen done Tuesday. Fingers crossed because they are really getting stinky!!

Meet Junior, he has been on the homestead since November. Joe is the only one that has been able to pet him. Trust me when I say that he was NOT happy about it. However, he sure does enjoy breakfast with me. I was so happy that I remembered to bring my phone out with me because he is not the easiest to get a picture of. He is very chatty and even has been letting me know that he is around when I am out at the chicken coop. When he started coming around last year he was not looking very good. I will say he is looking pretty darn handsome these days!

Sunday, I decided that I was sick enough at the mess on the front porch that it was time to tend to it!! Starting with the south side I took all the smaller stuff off the porch, swept moved the furniture and then added stuff after it was all cleaned off. This is not the final, but I will share more once the fall decorations have all been added. It sure was a pleasant day outside. What did you end up doing??

Lastly, Joe and I did a thing… and are still working on it, more coming soon. I can not wait until this all comes together!! YEAH!!! Humm, this reminds me of last years remodel?? Remember??
Hugs and Have a Great Day getting Crafty!!
