    Snow Front?

Sure does not look like a snowy scene. I really love how much this set changes when you change the colors. You can check the facebook live here. The only thing that was subtracted was the “smoke” from the chimney. To do that was just a matter of not inking that section of the cabin. Funny how the look changes also when you watercolor or just straight stamp. Can you tell which is which?? The first one (left) is the straight stamp. How can you tell? The leaf colors are darker. The “grass” in that one is where we started the watercolor technique. They the leaves on the second (middle)…

    Sending Hugs w/Inspiring Iris

Sending virtual hugs… This card happened because I was showing someone how to do the “leaves”. Using some water and Mossy Meadow reinker. I have a questions for you…. I think that these “leaves” look like cattails? Is it hard to tell with the ribbon there? Wink of Stella… Ohhh, how I wish that the Wink of Stella photographed better! I know you are wondering how I was able to get that Purple Posy Ink. Actually, that is a second generation Highland Heather. It sure gets sooo, close. In addition to this card, how about a video?? I can work on that later this week!! Yup, I added it to…

    March Girls Night idea

Set Mash Up! Using the Inspiring Iris stamp set (149268) and the Flourish Dies (141478) to create this card. The idea came to me because of the pattern in the stamp set. That pattern is sooo close I decided to try it together. I would say it was a WINNER! How about you? Then ladies decided that this card should be in all different colors!! LOVE! However, I need to point out that the “background” or the “grass” is actually the background for the Iris stem!! To me it looked like a cattail. What do you think?? You really will want to join us next month. I made chocolate chip…

Beautiful, right? What spoke to me is that Small Bloom punch. And the flowers going up the tower! I have been been wanting to try my hand at water colors again, but…. YIKES, the first one sure did NOT turn out! Just tooooooo much water. I share this because there is a learning or relearning curve. Just because you did not get what you wanted on your first or even second try. It does not mean you should not try…

Colorful Seasons for more Thankful greetings

Using a technique that I showed you back on the Waterfront Watercolor Card to stamp the leaves. Using the watercolor technique to stamp the leaves. I used the coordinating leaf die found in the Seasonal Layers (143751). Colors used to create the leaves, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and So Saffron. Kaitlyn and I created the left card first. All the while trying to pick the best sentiment. Country Home (147678) has the “simply thankful…”, while the Painted Harvest (144783) had the “I am thankful…”. Dare I add that the card on the right was all the “extra” leaves. I see a beautiful fall day, sun beginning to set, and my…
