Spotlight Technique Blessing of Home stamp set.
Spotlight Technique Blessing of Home Are you loving these cards?? I sure am. These are using the Spotlight Technique Blessing of Home and Honeybee Home stamp sets. Each has a different look. Yes, I used my mostest favortie Crumb Cake and Highland Heather. However, the curve ball was the Basic Grey and Mango Melody card. Please not that the two cards at the top I flipped the centers of the cards. Need a closer look?? The coloring portion of these beauties was done with Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pen. You will need to stamp first. Using either the Stylish Shapes or the Layering Circles to get the “Spotlight” portion. Here…

Peek at Coloring Class, Blending Brushes and Wink.
Peek at Coloring Class. Just a peek at the coloring class from last month. Holy Cow how could it be a month already!! The first technique was easy and fun. Picking our favorite color and “brush” the flowers. I used Rococo Rose, but really it could be ANY color. I wanted to be sure that you could get a lot of stuff so… Each person has a full 12 x 12 piece of DSP to play with. But that was just the start!! One blending brush and three sets of Stampin’ Blends also. You got to pick the colors!! I find that it really is much easier that way. Why??…

1/19 Coffee and Cards, Stamp ink and paper.
1/19 Coffee and Cards Oh we had fun on 1/19 Coffee and Cards. This Stamp, Ink and Paper card just turned out soooo pretty!! Very Vanilla was the 3 3/4 x 5 layer I started the card. Here is where you need to look into your ink stock. I looked for a light and a slightly darker color ink that would look good at leaves and flowers. Soft Sea Foam paired well with Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride with Rococo Rose. The fifth ink was Soft Suede for the sentiments. We did find out that you COULD stamp twice the same color and get a similar look. Like the extra…

Stamping in Embossing Paste using Dragonfly Garden
Stamping in Embossing Paste I love trying different things like Stamping in Embossing Paste. Sometimes you just have to be brave and try stuff. This however is not new. I have a YouTube video on this back in 2018. For that video I used a now retired woodgrain stamp, check it out here. For these cards that tall image was calling to be colored. That was not all, it needed some texture. You will not only need your Dragonfly Garden stamp set (bundle saves 10%), Dandy Garden ribbon and Dandy Garden DSP, but embossing paste too. You could also get the whole Dandy Garden Suite. However, I love the coloring…

Third look Dandy Garden Suite and a YouTube video.
Third look Dandy Garden Here is your third look at the Dandy Garden (Mega) Suite. The DSP is perfect to pair up with the curvy dies. Simple sentiment and a little rabbit ear bow. Put my favorite is the ladybug trinkets!! I sure hope that you plan on grabbing this fun set. Dare I even say that I have not really even begun to play with the die cuts yet… I am excited! You know that I love sharing tips and tricks. Check out this one that was added last week to my YouTube channel. Have you subscribed yet?? Do not forget the click on the bell because there are…

Background Created with Just Ink pads
yes, Created with Just Ink pads. I want to share how this background design was created with just ink pads and shimmer spritzer. So grab your favorite ink colors, some Whisper White cardstock, make a Shimmer Spritzer (link) in complimentary color and let’s do this!! As you can see on the bottom of this photo I made three different color patterns. One has more corner sweeps, another has softer sweeps and the other is a mix of the two. Want to see how.. Check out the Tuesday Edition of Coffee and Cards here. Starting with a half sheet of cardstock for each pattern. You will get a lot of mileage…

Snow Front?
Sure does not look like a snowy scene. I really love how much this set changes when you change the colors. You can check the facebook live here. The only thing that was subtracted was the “smoke” from the chimney. To do that was just a matter of not inking that section of the cabin. Funny how the look changes also when you watercolor or just straight stamp. Can you tell which is which?? The first one (left) is the straight stamp. How can you tell? The leaf colors are darker. The “grass” in that one is where we started the watercolor technique. They the leaves on the second (middle)…

Sending Hugs w/Inspiring Iris
Sending virtual hugs… This card happened because I was showing someone how to do the “leaves”. Using some water and Mossy Meadow reinker. I have a questions for you…. I think that these “leaves” look like cattails? Is it hard to tell with the ribbon there? Wink of Stella… Ohhh, how I wish that the Wink of Stella photographed better! I know you are wondering how I was able to get that Purple Posy Ink. Actually, that is a second generation Highland Heather. It sure gets sooo, close. In addition to this card, how about a video?? I can work on that later this week!! Yup, I added it to…

Small Bloom Punch for a WOW
Did you see the “bag” on page 13 of the Sale-a-Bration catalog?? The one with all the flowers?? Here is my CASE (copy and selectively edit). Well, in a card form. Let me also say from the beginning that I am sorry but that Petal Pink/Whisper White Silver Bakers Twine is retired. SOOO Sorry!! However, here is your question. Which version do you like?? The Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink or the Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody?? Don’t tell Avery, but the Pink version is her Birthday card!! sssshhhhhh!! Guesses on how many flowers?? Actually there are 40 per card. You know you can get your bang for your FREE…

2/8 Coffee and Cards-Day 7
Alternative colors?? Purple Posy and Rococo Rose with Soft Suede are the two that we did for the Live. Dontcha love that Gingham DSP?? Available in EVERY color!! Anyway, grab your 1/8 inch circle punch (retired) and the Heartfelt Bundle – 153885. Sprinkle in a stamp from the Strong & Beautiful -147732 too! There is a very subtle heart that is stamped along the bottoms of each Soft Suede layer. We talked on the live about using the Stamparatus – 146276. I tried this after and here is how it looked.. Just too close together! And if you moved down more than one just not close enough. I did want…

Catch of the Day for Girl’s Night Birthday
Let’s talk Girls Night! Making a Masculine Birthday and the Perennial Birthday “booklet”, which we will talk about tomorrow.. So much fun creating your own DSP (designer series paper). Here was the hardest part, what colors to pick? Hummmm. Finally settled on Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake. Each attendee was given a 4 by 11 sheet of Whisper White. Now, how to get started….. my suggestion is to start with the biggest image first! These are all pretty much the same, BUT I choose the “fish basket”, using Crumb Cake ink. Be sure to leave room you can ALWAYS add. The coastal Cabana and hat were next. Lastly,…

Shaker, Video and a Challenge
This time, we have a Global Design Project Challenge that has to do with colors. Yes, Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover and Real Red to be specific. Here is the back story….I thought, wouldn’t it be fun to be able to use the To Every Season Bundle (153051) for the challenge? However, I did not like the idea of Blueberry Bushel for leaves, keeping with the current season. Hummm, but the Blueberry Bushel could be snow?? So that is how this card started… Ending in, I am Thankful each day AND each “season” for you! Have you ever created a shaker card?? I love putting different “stuff” in the shaker,…

9/21 Coffee and Cards
Today the thing that we focused on for Coffee and Cards was… Sponging. We also like to call it, dirtying it up. The Harvest Hellos (b-153037) is perfect to try this technique out. The punch also makes quick work of images. Several Colors were used on each apple/pumpkin. No, I do not have a sponge for every color, buttt! How much are you liking the “burlap” background?? That comes from the Pressed Petal DSP (149500). Adding the sentiments from Itty Bitty Greeting (151331) and Country Home (147678). I know I have been talking about it, but ALL the new, Coffee and Cards videos are on my YouTube channel. Here is…
