    Tree Cocoons Flowers and Work Okay Dad, here is what I have been up to this last week. Starting off with your tree. Tree Cocoons Flowers and Work, you know I have been up to lots of work. The trees are doing great. Still hooked up to water too. It has been just too dry here not too. The first cocoon has been on this ladder on the porch since last fall. I did notice that it was changing color this weekend. I am super curious what is going to happen this week. Both Joe and I missed this second one. Not even sure how long it has been here.…

    Little Green Dirt and Mooch, an old kitty says hello.

    Little Green Dirt and Mooch Ohh, things are getting a Little Green, Dirt and Mooch, our old man. Remember the Ranunculus set from the Jan-June mini?? Well I decided that I needed to grow my own. I have a mix and a tangerine. Soo excited to see this green. Down in the basement. Strange place I would agree, but you need to start somewhere!! There are many more with green sprouts, so YES I am jumping for joy! So, as you can see things are getting serious… I have 5 seed trays with snapdragons, coleus, foxgloves and dahlias and sooo many more. Plus not in the photo are greens and…

    Update and Shenanigans on the Homestead this week.

    Update and Shenanigans on the Homestead Here is the next Update and Shenanigans on the Homestead. This time I finally finished the last of the seeds I had on hand. Believe it or not I ran out of flower boxes. I even went looking for me. Found zero!! Geez, I was disappointed. ANYWAY, 30 more different seeds planted. Phew, soo many possiblities!! Not to be outdone by the above, Soo many new sprouts up this last week. The humidity sure does help out. Have to admit it was tough keeping the seeds moist on the super hot days though.     Chicks, seeds and Luna

    The six baby chicks are out with the big girls… Just sooo dang cute!! White Crested Blue Polish is what they are called. I am almost positive that there are 2 roosters (maybe 3), which will go to the auction once I am sure which of the six. Earlier this weekend I could make out a new crow in the coop, we shall see! Before we know it, they will be adding beautiful eggs to the collection each day! Okay, funny story…. while pulling weeds, well, only the tall ones, this thought popped in my head.. all this ground is freshly turned. I have seeds….. hummmm, down to my seed…
