Thank You Kindest Gnomes with watercolor!

Thank You Kindest Gnomes Here we are on a Friday night and September is almost over. Thank You Kindest Gnomes can be used for any season. I am soo ready for fall. I was looking at all my fall decorations today. Do you decorate for the seasons or holidays? With that being said I love this mushroom for sooo many things. I did a watercolor, no line watercolor technique. Have you tried that? I was taught by amazingly talented friend, Gina. When I grow up I hope to be as talented as she is with this technique. I added the Fern 3D embossing folder along with a dauber. I used…

    July Culver Library cards, Sympathy/Thinking

July Culver Library cards This little beauty was the July Culver Library cards. However, we did this one in Knox for July also. Using the Lovely in Linen DSP for the lower half. I could not decide if the upper needed stamping or not. So I let the class members decide how they wanted it. After all they were the ones needing to use it. Looking at it here, both worked. This one has no frills either. Taking cue from the front sentiment “ Thinking of you wrath all my heart”, it needed a heart in the inside! Dontcha think? Both of these sentiments are from the Peaceful Place stamp…

First October Girl’s Night card, using Forever Greenery

First October Girl’s Night Here is the first October Girl’s Night card. Using fall colors and Forever Greenery stamp set. To recreate this beauty you will need Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Old Olive inks. The original sample is on the right. The card on the left was the recreation for our online class. You guys know how I love to change things up! This is a closer look at the online version. We added a loop of Linen Thread under our punched out sentiment. Additionally we shifted the card to a tall version. I have to admit that I love this version. Not only because of the…

  • Happy Birthday

As promised, step three, Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday, Korine… Wanting to be sure not to go with the red, white and blue theme for this card. When you have a birthday around a holiday, I really try to make the card extra special. Now, some will say, what is the big deal. However, mom always told stories about her holiday birthday’s. She was getting gifts in Christmas wrappings, etc. So that is why I try to be aware of how that must feel. First, let us not miss that cute little slip, topped with ribbon. What would you use it for? I use mine to mark my calendar or even my book page. I know that…

Two last from the bits and pieces container…

What is the count?? I will have to go back and look… but let’s start here… The ribbon and retired die cut was in the container. First I layered the Crushed Curry die cut on Daffodil Delight. How did I get it to match up?? I went old school… That is correct, I traced it with a pencil. However not just some fancy pencil. The ones that you actually have to sharpen. haha certain to be careful and get every little curve. Grabbed the scissors and FUSSY CUT! Secondly, this one used the piece that was NOT picked on Coffee and Cards. Along with the little scrap left over from…

More from the bits and pieces

Believe it or not… Here is more cards from all those bits and pieces… However, I am getting down to the parts that do not want to go together. I am thinking that that there are only two or three more. We will see tomorrow. Ohhh, yes I did!! I know you can see that shimmer on that Poppy. The shimmer paint spritzer, of course. No NO need for an intervention. I promise!! Similarly, did you notice the “ribbon stack” used for a background?? How?? VersaMark added to any color cardstock, picks up the color!
