    Snow Front?

    Sure does not look like a snowy scene. I really love how much this set changes when you change the colors. You can check the facebook live here. The only thing that was subtracted was the “smoke” from the chimney. To do that was just a matter of not inking that section of the cabin. Funny how the look changes also when you watercolor or just straight stamp. Can you tell which is which?? The first one (left) is the straight stamp. How can you tell? The leaf colors are darker.     Catch of the Day for Girl’s Night Birthday

    Let’s talk Girls Night! Making a Masculine Birthday and the Perennial Birthday “booklet”, which we will talk about tomorrow.. So much fun creating your own DSP (designer series paper). Here was the hardest part, what colors to pick? Hummmm. Finally settled on Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake. Each attendee was given a 4 by 11 sheet of Whisper White. Now, how to get started….. my suggestion is to start with the biggest image first! These are all pretty much the same, BUT I choose the “fish basket”, using Crumb Cake ink.     Holy Cow that is a lot of cards!! Four full size and Six 3 x3, all from two 6 x 6 pieces of DSP (designer series paper). You would not know from this side, but this is Christmas DSP. The Night Before Christmas (150437) if full of stockings, Christmas trees and even reindeer. Combine that with Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp set (148618) and Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set (146667) and you got a bunch like this. Starting with the full size cards. Which do you like better??     I am sure this has never happened to anyone else, but me… haha. Did you plan to use something, but then things change. This card has a new life as a masculine birthday card. What do you think?? Curious, where all the parts come from?? The two DSP (Designer Series Papers) are from the Come Sail Away DSP (149481), meaning the lighthouse pattern and the stripe.     How are you spending Fathers’s Day?? The Hubby and I will be going to see my parents today. All I know is that dinner is on the agenda. Have you had fun with the Best Catch (148598) Stamp set and coordinating dies Catch of the Day (148815)?? This cattail section is a fun add. Let’s color a bit. Stampin’ Blends, Soft Suede (147273), Mango Melody (147945), Daffodil Delight (144603) and even Pumpkin Pie (144599). You could use Wink of Stella (141897) or Shimmer paint (Champange-147044 or Frost White-147046) for the metal look on the lure too.     Global Design Challenge day #193. This is a color challenge this week, and WOW and what a color group we have! Now…. how to get started?? Let me walk you through my process… Knowing the colors already, I pulled all three color cardstock. Check which ribbon if any that might go… Masculine or feminine? Fancy or Simple? Stamps?
