Happy Father Day Dad and all the Dads!

Happy Father’s Day Dad Happy Father’s Day Day!! I hope that you will have an amazing, relaxing and fun day today. Well, this goes to all the Dad’s that is!! My dad has ALWAYS taught me to “not burn bridges” and think before I speak. That is not all, he has taught me to drive a car, in the snow. However, one of my best memories was when he held Trevor for the first time. His first Grandson! Yes, the first time he was a Grandpa!! All the boys call him River now. He will always be Dad to me. As the first born, I had him all to myself…

3D Lets Go Fishing Star made for my Dad!!

3D Lets Go Fishing Star I told you that I would try and be sure to keep you supplied with 3D projects during the summer while 3D Thursday is on Summer Vacation. Have you gotten a look at this one?? This one is perfect for my Dad. He was once upon a time a Fisherman. Well, he went on fishing trips and we like to go too. But dang that was a super long time ago. This Star was just the perfect ‘vehicle’ for me to create this fun little 3D project. There was a bit of Fussy cutting. The star to start. I traced it on the cardstock and…

Happy Fathers Day with a Retiring item still available.

Happy Fathers Day with a Retiring One last Happy Fathers Day with a Retiring Seas the Day bundle. One of these cards I did for the library and the other was for YouTube. I love the large sea die, however, Ohhh the possibilities. Using all the seaweed and little parts. Which is your favorite the octopus or the crab?? The concept of these are pretty much the same. I have to say that the dies are super fun in this bundle. I wanted to try and add a pop of color using the Tahitian Tide. Using that with the Calypso Coral for the crab was a total winner!! I do…

My Dad He’s all That Here we go, My Dad He’s all That. I would add in a bag of chips, but he would not eat them. Here is the new He’s All That suite. I have been having lots of fun with this one. I have used it for a couple ideas. And did you know that It is the June Ding Dong Ditch too. You bet!! Anyway, Using the coordinating dies for the “badge” plus adding in a circle from the new Stylish Shapes. However, I have usually struggled with combining White and Vanilla. Apparently not for this one. I love it, YOU?? Here is a closer view…

May Culver Library Class was almost lost, but found.

May Culver Library Class Thankful that things are getting back to normal even for the May Culver Library card class. This one has a fun addition using the new Beauty of Friendship bundle (suite too). Somewhere we did a Girl’s Night card similar to this. However this time I added the 3D look with the new dies. I love how it actually looks like dad is enjoying his tea under the two trees. You really can get a good idea of these tree tops now. Yes, I so love my dimensionals!! The A Cut Above stamp set includes both birthday and father’s day sentiments. I do not know why this…

    Snow Front?

Sure does not look like a snowy scene. I really love how much this set changes when you change the colors. You can check the facebook live here. The only thing that was subtracted was the “smoke” from the chimney. To do that was just a matter of not inking that section of the cabin. Funny how the look changes also when you watercolor or just straight stamp. Can you tell which is which?? The first one (left) is the straight stamp. How can you tell? The leaf colors are darker. The “grass” in that one is where we started the watercolor technique. They the leaves on the second (middle)…

    Paper Pumpkin-Fathers Day

It is getting close to Fathers’s Day, do you need the perfect card?? How about using parts of your Paper Pumpkin? Today, only the stamps are from the May kit. At first, I was thinking a floating card, but due to unhappy stamping this was changed into just a quick card. Tomorrow is a new day for the floating card. Let’s turn lemons into lemonade. Still taking que from the box, pulled out a Pretty Peacock card base and ink. Add a little more sentiment from the Well Said (148796) stamp set. Pick a bird to highlight, using a mostly dry aqua painter. You need a light hand so you…
