    Come to Gather fun fold

One of my usual groups loves a simple card with a touch of fun. How did I do?? Using the Stamparatus (146276) and a Maple leaf. Remember the idea from last week using the Timeless label punch (149516)? I love how if fits more sentiments now! In addition to that punch idea, how about a SIMPLE fun fold. Take out your new Trimmer (152392) and your favorite 4 1/4 x 11 piece of cardstock. Long at the top and score at 3/4 of an inch and then again at 6 1/4. DONE! Just remember to only put adhesive on that folded over section. Here is a fun fact, use Tear…

More for Fall, but Mother Nature had other ideas…

Remember the post several weeks back when I was using the miter saw? This is one of the new additions to my decor. I look forward to changing it with all the seasons. However, Mother Nature is having other ideas… Today, the cold front and snow arrived. Happy it was today rather then later this week!! The Homestead has several trees that are still Green. This one is the Cleveland Pear, and I am sure that it will change color now. Even the poor Turkeys were scratching for food. Meanwhile, White Sox is on antibiotics and this was at the vet. Not happy to be there, can you imagine?? Poor…

Do you do fancy for Thanksgiving?? In our BIG family (like 25-30) we do buffet for food set up, but we do gather at the table, well several! I need to talk with my sister so that maybe I can make these, for the adults anyway. A video is always fun, right?? Here is what you will need in case the numbers go by too fast in the video.. Closets, Fairs and Fall

Last week started kinda slow, but with Joe’s long weekend coming up and moving day creeping in I hope. The closet was all my job. I had the task of figuring out how to put it back. The old way just did not make sense to me! However, I did not want to purchase too much more! Adding one and moving the line of shelves what my first attempt. Making more for dresses and another place to pile things. Ta-DUH!! Joe and I picked up blinds, curtains, new small lamps and even new curtain rods. Although we still need to get trim. With the cooler weather here there are a…

    Challenge GDP#213 To Every Season

Hummm, Can you tell what the challenge is this week?? haha. You got it, a color challenge. Old Olive, Lovely Lipstick and Smoky Slate is the combination. I could have easily went with a Christmas card, but… Nope, you know me, I like to make a challenge a true challenge. Although Fall really was not a huge stretch either. I was even thinking of doing a sympathy card but not with Lovely Lipstick. I guess I am old school, no red for sympathy. Have you gotten the To Every Season (150531)?? Not yet?? why not? This stamp set is a Bundle (153051) too!! I am loving the little punches. That…

A floor, more color and shhh

Finally nearing the end of this remodel journey… a temporary floor has been glued down. Yes, it is dusty, but Swiffer to the rescue. The kitties have been enjoying the sunlight in here. If you look VERY close you can see a dark green bouncy ball in the far end of the floor (kitty toy). Joe, wants to move back in this next week. Fingers crossed because the closet needs to be put back in, new blinds on the windows and trim. I will keep you posted!! haha Remember last weeks tree?? This Sugar Maple is just enjoying the change and so are we!! The temperature is going to shift…

Colorful Seasons for more Thankful greetings

Using a technique that I showed you back on the Waterfront Watercolor Card to stamp the leaves. Using the watercolor technique to stamp the leaves. I used the coordinating leaf die found in the Seasonal Layers (143751). Colors used to create the leaves, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and So Saffron. Kaitlyn and I created the left card first. All the while trying to pick the best sentiment. Country Home (147678) has the “simply thankful…”, while the Painted Harvest (144783) had the “I am thankful…”. Dare I add that the card on the right was all the “extra” leaves. I see a beautiful fall day, sun beginning to set, and my…

    Pumpkin Harvest in the Truck

I needed a few treat holders. What to use?? You guessed, my pickup truck, haha. Just big enough for a fun size treat. Perfect to haul your pumpkins AND candy. How about letting you in on a secret?? I made a video for this one too. With a few fun ideas and even a technique…. However, here are a few things to know… You will want to use Multipurpose glue, stamp first then assemble, be patient and try. In addition to this Happy Harvest it could also say.. happy birthday with some balloons. Need a reminder?? Check this post… I wish that I would have thought to use the black…

    Painted Harvest for a Challenge

What colors have you tried with the Painted Harvest (144783). How about Merry Merlot and Mango Melody?? This week for the Global Design Project sketch challenge…. I love fall….and I do love to decorating for it also. This card was bringing in all my favorite fall colors. However I did use this set with Cajun Craze and Mango Melody… Loved that one too! Instead of stamping the middle…. I wanted to try the Champagne Shimmer Paint(147044). This poor picture just did not do it justice, and I am sorry! Let’s just say you NEED to try it!! WOW. I sure hope you enjoyed this card and Thank you for checking…

    Construction update and MORE!

Houston, we have insulation AND drywall. WooooHooo!! Two full sheets left too…HUMMMM, where can I put that?? Mudding has started too! I will leave that for the next Post. The Chickens say… bring on the fall weather!! The girls sure have been much happier with the cooler temperatures. However, this Sassafras is a reminder of what is to come. They are the first to turn color here. Pretty against all the green, BUT!! This poor butterfly/moth was not “feeling” the cooler temperatures. Joe brought her in for a warm up and an orange snack. Lastly, I NEEDED to take advantage of the tools being out!! I can not wait to…

    Harvest Hellos for Challenge

Here is my idea for the theme challenge at the Global Design Project. It is perfect for this… Going with the “Grow” let’s continue having fun with the Harvest Hellos (150663). Are you loving the pumpkins and apples the last few days? How about some make your own DSP, add a sponged pumpkin, burlap ribbon and a cut up sentiment. Honest, it really is that easy! What a fun way to get ready for Fall with this weeks theme. Thank you Global Design Project and all the design team. I look forward to checking out all the other projects. Humm, I think next week we are due for a CASE,…
