October Girl’s Night, the first card.

October Girl’s Night On the first Friday of each month, you can come and make some birthday cards. October Girl’s Night was no exception. We crafted, talked and laughed too! This was the first of two cards that the girls made. We always have two designs and they made two of each design. I saw this layout somewhere and knew that I had to try it. To simple?? I think the technique that I added kept the ladies on their toes. The Country Home stamp set has the beautiful water jug. But where in the heck did I get that sentiment?? Well, I made it. You might want the Stamparatus…

4/14 Tuesday Editions of Coffee and Cards

They almost did not all fit! Dang you guys had me working for it today, hahaha!! I know, I did it to myself, right?? That Pressed Petal DSP made quick work of it though didn’t it? All these beauties with one piece of 12 x 12. These were the ones that we made during the video, mixed up the colors a bit too. No waste either. Lots of scraps used too! Keeping several of the cards a little simpler, but that DSP does so much why would you add too much?? Yeah, you know that I did…. Ribbon!!! I do love me some ribbon… although this was mostly twine. Twine…

Colorful Seasons for more Thankful greetings

Using a technique that I showed you back on the Waterfront Watercolor Card to stamp the leaves. Using the watercolor technique to stamp the leaves. I used the coordinating leaf die found in the Seasonal Layers (143751). Colors used to create the leaves, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and So Saffron. Kaitlyn and I created the left card first. All the while trying to pick the best sentiment. Country Home (147678) has the “simply thankful…”, while the Painted Harvest (144783) had the “I am thankful…”. Dare I add that the card on the right was all the “extra” leaves. I see a beautiful fall day, sun beginning to set, and my…

    9/21 Coffee and Cards

Today the thing that we focused on for Coffee and Cards was… Sponging. We also like to call it, dirtying it up. The Harvest Hellos (b-153037) is perfect to try this technique out. The punch also makes quick work of images. Several Colors were used on each apple/pumpkin. No, I do not have a sponge for every color, buttt! How much are you liking the “burlap” background?? That comes from the Pressed Petal DSP (149500). Adding the sentiments from Itty Bitty Greeting (151331) and Country Home (147678). I know I have been talking about it, but ALL the new, Coffee and Cards videos are on my YouTube channel. Here is…
