Christmas Decorations on the Homestead, WOW!

Christmas Decorations on the Homestead Soo, here we are with all the Christmas Decorations on the Homestead. Starting with the tree. Joe and I went to the local Christmas Tree farm, Hensler’s to find out perfect tree. So many possibilities. We went with a smaller nettle this year. It was a nice day, thankfully. What do you think?? After two attempts to get enough lights. It is complete. There are 800 lights on this thing. It was Joe’s idea for the multicolored lights. Which I thought would be fun, however… I had none. Took a guess at how many we would need. Yup, I guessed too low. Not only that…

Merry Christmas from US! Joe and I critters too!

Merry Christmas from US. Joe, the critters plus myself want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas from us! We enjoyed a pretty lazy day. Joe cooked ham and I made sweet potatoes, garlic mashed, green beans and rolls. Cookies… Is how we started the day! Ohh yes, cookies and coffee! Cranberry bars, peanut blossoms, Christmas crack (no photo) and Chex krispies. Add in several cups of coffee… ohh YES! The day has been pretty lazy. Chilling by the fire and doing video gift opening with the nieces and nephews. Even the kitties are chilling. Sleeping and even snoring. Christmas Hugs and Have a Great Day getting Crafty!!

Happy week of Christmas, pretties, furies and food.

Happy week of Christmas Finally, we made it, Happy week of Christmas. Mooch is putting in his two cents. I was going to skip the tree, BUT he would not have it. Only two slimline trees AND no ornaments. I will find him sitting under them any minute. Mooch decided that I was not moving fast enough and took a nap. While he was napping I was able to get this and several other things done. Including two Christmas trees. A bunch of dusting and lots of sneezing too. haha. Check out last years decorations, here. The face… He wants more attention and I was not spooning out the food…

    Merry Christmas 2019

Mooch wanted to be the first one to wish you a Merry Christmas! He starts his Christmas with this chair. What do I mean?? When I moved in with all my boxes he was not sure what was going on. I moved in, in April. And then in November and I brought all these boxes up from the basement he started acting super weird. Both Joe and I noticed. Until this chair was put in place and the lights turned on. That is when he became the Christmas Kitty. During the winter months this chair is out and yes, plugged in, Thankfully he is one happy kitty. Here is another…

Happy Christmas Eve on the Homestead

If you know me… You know for sure I love to decorate for Christmas. This year I got a late start, BUT… Here is how it all turned out! From the foyer, top left, and to the kitchen table. The old wood, evergreens of all types, to the cardinals. It just helps to bring the outside in. Our Christmas tree in the family room, fireplace, the stocking are hung, but not in the picture, sorry. All doorways are adorn with evergreens. Remember, I try to decorate more for the season, so the snowmen will stay with us thru January and into February. Yes, I decorate the bathroom too! Lastly the…
