Dragonfly using Orchid Oasis Vellum and Basic Gray

Dragonfly using Orchid Oasis Today is the last of the In-Color class ideas. Using the Dragonfly Garden and coordinating Dragonfly punch! However, this Dragonfly using Orchid Oasis and two different grays. Yes, I did mention Vellum in that title… Can you find it?? When I see and think of Dragonflies… I see clear wings. The ones here on the Homestead at least! Might I add that you will need to be SUPER patient for this one! I stamped the dragonfly in Basic Gray ink. It will take several minutes for that ink to dry. It is best to stamp those set aside and work on other things, like cutting! hahaha.…

Butterfly Anniversary card for Joe using Brilliant Wings.

Butterfly Anniversary card for Joe Earlier this month Joe and I celebrated our 12th anniversary. As always it is a Butterfly Anniversary card for Joe. Also in keeping with us, it is purple and green. My favorite color and his. Please note that I did use some pieces from the ‘Bits and Pieces’ container. Here is the other note, since I do not have to mail it, it does NOT have to fit inside and envelope. Did you see the live?? Yes, I did this for a live the day before out anniversary. I know it is tough to see, but I did a clear heat emboss of butterflies on…

If you missed the live it was December 30 over on facebook. It was kinda a surprise ‘It started with…’ class. Yes, I grabbed this little frame at Dollar tree. Yes, I took the guts out. Now to make it pretty! Using my new favorite suite called Heart and Home from the 2022 Jan-June Mini. The designer series paper, Heart & Home with all that wood grain. However the die cut word are from the Amazing Thanks also from…

Pansies Little Extra Happiness with Pansy Petals DSP

Pansies Little Extra Happiness I love Pansies, Little Extra Happiness and so much more about this card. Let’s start with the Pansy Petals DSP (patterned paper – there is a suite too). Both of these patterns come from that pack. The Bumblebee pattern is a soft or subtle pattern. With the flower and leaf pattern being a bit bigger. AGAIN mixing my DSP’s to show off how easy and pretty they can be together. However, this layout works with any coordinating DSP’s. I used this layout for the Make ‘n Take card at the BOGO sale last month. This was the sample idea. The other two used the Beauty of…

Pale Papaya Two Ways and a video too.

Pale Papaya Two Ways Today has Pale Papaya Two Ways adding in a little Just Jade. Do not forget at the bottom is the YouTube video how I made the bottom left. That one has more layers to it. Because there is no wasting those “clouds” from the top version. We created the top in an episode of Coffee and Cards. Dare I say (again) that I am not sure which I like better. Each has layers and each has the same basic idea. I do like the lighter color or the top one. For this card I used the Blending Brushes and a piece of Basic White. The “masked”…

  • Happy Birthday

As promised, step three, Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday, Korine… Wanting to be sure not to go with the red, white and blue theme for this card. When you have a birthday around a holiday, I really try to make the card extra special. Now, some will say, what is the big deal. However, mom always told stories about her holiday birthday’s. She was getting gifts in Christmas wrappings, etc. So that is why I try to be aware of how that must feel. First, let us not miss that cute little slip, topped with ribbon. What would you use it for? I use mine to mark my calendar or even my book page. I know that…

Happy 4th of July to you and your family.

Happy Birthday America! Sounds kinda funny saying Happy Birthday to a Country, but… That really is what today is all about. How as a new country “we” decided “we” wanted freedom from Tierney and Oppression. Those freedoms were as the result of many brave men and women. Freedoms that at times get taken for granted. As a Marine mom, I have a small understanding of the drive that it takes to be brave and go off to fight for those freedoms. The worry of a family when loved ones go on faith and belief that our country stands for Freedom. These freedoms that are still alive today, gratefully!! Hugs and…
