Peek at Coloring Class, Blending Brushes and Wink.

Peek at Coloring Class. Just a peek at the coloring class from last month. Holy Cow how could it be a month already!! The first technique was easy and fun. Picking our favorite color and “brush” the flowers. I used Rococo Rose, but really it could be ANY color. I wanted to be sure that you could get a lot of stuff so… Each person has a full 12 x 12 piece of DSP to play with. But that was just the start!! One blending brush and three sets of Stampin’ Blends also. You got to pick the colors!! I find that it really is much easier that way. Why??…

More Here’s to You, March Paper Pumpkin

More Here’s to You How about more Here’s to You ideas from the March Paper Pumpkin. This idea uses the envelope liners. Wondering what I am talking about?? Remember in past kits I have cut up the envelopes. This time the envelopes are plain and there is an extra piece that you can add to pretty up the envelopes. And those liners are just tooo cute. The flower pattern that is the background here. Additionally, the book looking circle is also a liner. The only item that was really added was some Seaside Spray cardstock. I thought this was a fun way to use most of the pieces but slightly…

Global Design Project #278 for Coffee and Cards

Global Design Project #278 It has been too longs since participating in the Global Design Project #278. This week is a sketch challenge and I had an immediate idea. However, how was I going to be able to use it and something that I have not yet played with…. The inspirations were all very pretty. Now how to make it my own. And feature the outgoing 2019-2021 in-colors. Just a quick reminder that they will be retiring earlier than years past. They will be only available through the Annual Catalog which ends May 3. YIKES, that will be here before you know it!! Sticking with original idea of ribbon. The…

Love you more than… Coffee or the new machine??

Okay, Love you more than… It really is not something that I can really pick which… You know how I am with my coffee. However, this new Cut and Emboss machine is pretty darn amazing. The “sandwich” is pretty close to the old Stampin’ Up! machine too. I know that on Girl’s Night the girls did really like it. Please do not make me pick.. Did your grandma, mother or YOU have those plastic coffee cups that look like this one?? Mine sure did… It sure was a fun memory to remember. I took me a little bit to try and remember why the little “stars” has a memory. Once…

    Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day to my Mom! I do not know how many of you know, but my mom is an artist. Serious, I have paintings of hers in my house. AMAZING!! She has done several mixed media, sculptures and others. I bet you are guessing that is where my “art-ability” comes from? I hate to admit, out loud, it took me over 30 years to find it! So you can see why, just a “simple” card for my mom… will NOT do! Let’s start with the pieces… Using several punches for this card. The small bloom punch from the 2020 Annual Catalog. However at the moment I do not have…

4/14 Tuesday Editions of Coffee and Cards

They almost did not all fit! Dang you guys had me working for it today, hahaha!! I know, I did it to myself, right?? That Pressed Petal DSP made quick work of it though didn’t it? All these beauties with one piece of 12 x 12. These were the ones that we made during the video, mixed up the colors a bit too. No waste either. Lots of scraps used too! Keeping several of the cards a little simpler, but that DSP does so much why would you add too much?? Yeah, you know that I did…. Ribbon!!! I do love me some ribbon… although this was mostly twine. Happy Easter

Happy Easter How are you doing?? I know for me the day today was a struggle. Not being able to see family, or even spend time with my hubby was just weird. Usually I travel out to Illinois and have a fun, but CRAZY dinner with the whole family. Not today. Poor Joe who is still considered an essential worker, is working. How did you spend your holiday?? You would think that I was in the craft room today, actually I was not. I spent the day chilling out, watching TV and did a little baking. The kitties kept me toasty and on schedule. Sooo much more happiness…. Here are the other pieces that I had to use up… I do not want to end up with an overflowing bits and pieces container like before… YIKES!! Adding a few extra pieces for these three. Paula, do you notice that little piece?? Apparently it was not too small. Adding tulips for an Easter card, an extra layer and a few flowers. What would you have added?? Can you see the Wink of Stella inside the tulips?? Now to write in them all and get in the mailbox to bring someone some sunshine. I have seen the lanterns in several shapes, I did triangles. Stitched Shape Circles for the two smaller and Nested Labels for the larger. Each uses a full sheet of cardstock, just the heights vary. Paper Pumpkin-Fathers Day

It is getting close to Fathers’s Day, do you need the perfect card?? How about using parts of your Paper Pumpkin? Today, only the stamps are from the May kit. At first, I was thinking a floating card, but due to unhappy stamping this was changed into just a quick card. Tomorrow is a new day for the floating card. Let’s turn lemons into lemonade. Dear Friend

Today is all about a Paper Pumpkin alternative. As a Paper Pumpkin subscriber since the beginning, I can honestly say that if you have been outta the loop for a while, you NEED to get back in!! Shelli Gardner, co-founder of Stampin’ Up! helped to design this kit. The top card, in Pool Party, is from the kit, mostly as the directions state. I added a stamped imagine on the sentiment and tweaked the twine. I would love to get this card, how about you? Now, for the alternative card…. I hear you cringing, however, a fussy cut was necessary. Can you hear the feathers asking to be cut out??…
