Smooches with Lovely Lipstick…..bye bye
When you talk about Lovely Lipstick… I think of a S.W.A.K. or lipstick kiss. Old school I know. Lipstick nowadays doesn’t leave a mark. Which is why I picked this DSP to highlight this beautiful color. I call this set the Hello Fabulous set… isn’t it funny how sets get knick names? I have several … How about you? Please tell me I am not the only one… The crazytown bus would be very lonely, haha. ANYWAY, All 5 of these cards are made from scraps, left overs, and not needed card bases. Happy Easter
Happy Easter How are you doing?? I know for me the day today was a struggle. Not being able to see family, or even spend time with my hubby was just weird. Usually I travel out to Illinois and have a fun, but CRAZY dinner with the whole family. Not today. Poor Joe who is still considered an essential worker, is working. How did you spend your holiday?? You would think that I was in the craft room today, actually I was not. I spent the day chilling out, watching TV and did a little baking. The kitties kept me toasty and on schedule. They can tell time you know!…

All those extra pieces…
Sooo much more happiness…. Here are the other pieces that I had to use up… I do not want to end up with an overflowing bits and pieces container like before… YIKES!! Adding a few extra pieces for these three. Paula, do you notice that little piece?? Apparently it was not too small. Adding tulips for an Easter card, an extra layer and a few flowers. What would you have added?? Can you see the Wink of Stella inside the tulips?? Now to write in them all and get in the mailbox to bring someone some sunshine. Hugs and Have a Great Day getting Crafty!!

More from the bits and pieces
Believe it or not… Here is more cards from all those bits and pieces… However, I am getting down to the parts that do not want to go together. I am thinking that that there are only two or three more. We will see tomorrow. Ohhh, yes I did!! I know you can see that shimmer on that Poppy. The shimmer paint spritzer, of course. No NO need for an intervention. I promise!! Similarly, did you notice the “ribbon stack” used for a background?? How?? VersaMark added to any color cardstock, picks up the color! Note: that blue twine… Left over from our science experiments. Died Ribbon Looking for your…

Best Dressed and Fancy
What is your color? I was working on my tutorial for the TTT group and had some scraps left. What do we do with scraps?? Yup, we make more cards! Here is the result…. to make it even better, how about a fancy fold? Here is how to create this fold… card base of 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 score at 4 1/4. Then you cut off 3/4 of an inch. Use that 3/4 inch piece score at 3 inches and tuck under the inside layer. DONE. Easy, right?? Reminder stamp prior to using your adhesive! We all make mistakes! Hint: use the same ink color as your cardstock for…

3/7 Coffee and Cards, a Challenge too!
Thank you for helping me! I do enjoy Coffee and Cards because you guys do help me figure things out! Haha, seriously! Someone Special (151643) is from the 2020 Mini. The coordinating dies, Special Day (153587) are not, but they are part of SEVERAL additional items offered. Which also includes the Pleased as Punch DSP (153558) used for the layering piece. We should however start at the beginning… this is the Global Design Project sketch for this week. Using this sketch for the card idea, with of course some tweaks/additions. Here is what I am submitting for the challenge.. This raccoon wants you to have a very wonderful birthday!! Right,…

More 2018-2020 In-Colors
We all have a friend like this… I actually someday want to be this friend to someone!! Okay, to several someones!! I am grateful to the ones that I have for sure! What am I talking about?? “You are somebody, who makes everybody, feel like somebody” That is the sentiment on the front. Love it right?? This sentiment and flowers are from the Inspiring Iris stamp set- 149268. It is a two step stamp set. Meaning the outline is one stamp and the flower “petals” are another. Here was my dilemma, which card base would you choose?? Left is Pineapple Punch and the right is Grapefruit Grove. Hummmm, which one…

March it started with $1
Here is where this begins… Saw this at the Dollar Tree before Christmas. It had hot pink and bright yellow stripes. BUT the sizing was right. Do you grab stuff, come up with ideas and buy… but they sit on the shelf? YUP, this was one of those!! I wish I could remember where this saying came from!! I would happily give them credit. The left is where I started. The right had more impact. Did you know that the retired Large Letter dies are on the clearance rack?? For LESS then $60! Snag those puppies quick! In addition to those dies, grab what you need of the 2018-2020 In…

2/29 Coffee and Cards

Flowers! This stamp set is all about the flowers. Five different ones actually. A couple different flower centers and a pair of leaves. Huge bonus is the font used for the beautiful sentiments. We also talked about how the 2018-2020 In-Colors will be leaving us soon! Be sure to order early! You do not want to miss out on getting them. How about some measurements? Box bottom is 8 1/2 x 8 1/2, scoring…

So here is another new thing I want to do… and I hope you like it!! Every week I would like to share a short video… Qwick and WOW! That video will be the start of a project. Here on the blog is where you finish the project. And then check back later in the week for a second take on the video. The video is here. Here are a few photos to help! The “Bag” is in the Annual catalog! Scored on the 3 sealed sides at 1/2 inch. NOTE: these bags are on the thinner side… so do not score like cardstock! Not a lot of pressure needed.…

Last card from Stampin’ Bingo
Here is the WOWSZA card… the cutie is a shaker! I do love them, why don’t we make more?? Hummm? Ohh, yeah not easy to mail. I know the nieces and nephews love them! Before I share more pictures… I just want to mention that the Lily Impressions DSP AND the Metallic Bakers Twine and Sequins set is from the SAB catalog, FREE! The sentiment is tooo! To add the WOWSZA it is a fancy fold too. But NO extra cardstock! How?? Take your 4 1/4 x 11 card base and cut it in half. Use the second half for the “front” in the opposite direction. Decorate as you wish!…

Challenge GDP#213 To Every Season
Hummm, Can you tell what the challenge is this week?? haha. You got it, a color challenge. Old Olive, Lovely Lipstick and Smoky Slate is the combination. I could have easily went with a Christmas card, but… Nope, you know me, I like to make a challenge a true challenge. Although Fall really was not a huge stretch either. I was even thinking of doing a sympathy card but not with Lovely Lipstick. I guess I am old school, no red for sympathy. Have you gotten the To Every Season (150531)?? Not yet?? why not? This stamp set is a Bundle (153051) too!! I am loving the little punches. That…

Shaker, Video and a Challenge
This time, we have a Global Design Project Challenge that has to do with colors. Yes, Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover and Real Red to be specific. Here is the back story….I thought, wouldn’t it be fun to be able to use the To Every Season Bundle (153051) for the challenge? However, I did not like the idea of Blueberry Bushel for leaves, keeping with the current season. Hummm, but the Blueberry Bushel could be snow?? So that is how this card started… Ending in, I am Thankful each day AND each “season” for you! Have you ever created a shaker card?? I love putting different “stuff” in the shaker,…

Apple Smiles with Harvest Hellos
I was using up the last of the apples from my tree this afternoon and remembered that I forgot to share this SUPER simple but SUPER cute card. “You make me Smile!” sentiment is included in the Harvest Hellos Bundle (153037). Along with “Hey there, Pumpkin”, which would obviously need a Pumpkin instead, haha The Call Me Clover looks great with the Cherry Cobbler apple. No sponging or magic tricks with this one.. Right outta the punch. However, I cut the sentiment apart. Put I bet you figured that already. Can you picture the picnic?? The table cloth and all?? Right?!? Hugs, Have a Great Day getting Crafty!!
