Global Design Project Challenge Day!! WooHoo, can you tell I was feeling patriotic? This week is a sketch challenge.. here was the inspiration. Remember yesterdays post?? The jar was coloring one of today’s ribbon. Did you know that with an ink refill some water and either Whisper White Twine (124262) or Polka Dot Tulle (146912) ribbon you can make it ANY color you need?? Ohhhh, I just realized that there is one more still to try… Whisper White Flax Ribbon… Check back next week for that! Lovely Lipstick, Whisper White and Blueberry Bushel are what created the red/white/blue.. or this could also be a nod to Firefighters and Police too..…

More on the soon to be retiring 2017-2019 In-Colors. Today features Lemon Lime Twist, This was also a card that was done on the last Girl’s Night. Since that was our first trip to Sugar Shack Bakery…. Cupcakes were had and stamped too. Today’s In-Color 2017-2019 color is Fresh Fig. Pairing that with the Dandelion Wishes (146747) add a little heat embossing, Fresh Fig (144174) sheer ribbon, and Whisper White/Silver Twine. Adding some depth to the dandelion with a dauber and Fresh Fig Ink to the “flower” heads. Using versa-mark and white embossing powder… Heat to set and amazing. Even the front sentiment is heat embossed. The inside was stamped with craft ink. The inside sentiment is from the Humming Along (148758) for another birthday card. Powder Pink is our next 2017-2019 In-Color that we are going to talk about…. Our above birthday card uses that Incredible Like You (148708) stamp set. Add in the Stamparatus (146276 or 148187), Whisper White polka dot (146912) ribbon, Share What You Love pearls (146927) and both Powder Pink and Soft Sea Foam ink. Phew…. The lines used the jump technique with the Stamparatus, The flowers, a two step stamp using the same Powder Pink ink. Then…. I hear you groaning, but yes they are fussy cut out. Another challenge for me on Simple Stamping, Using the Dear Doily (148690) stamp set, with Gray Granite and Smoky Slate cardstock. The ink is Tranquil Tide, which just as a reminder will be retiring the end of May. Are you planning on getting yours early?? This is really the way to go… card stock, ink, refill and ribbon will all retire May 31. The card was designed for one of my library classes….. check out my events for the next one.
