Girls Night,  Stamp Camp/class

Second October Girl’s Night card, using Penguin Place.

Second October Girl’s Night

Here is the cutest second October Girl’s Night card, I think to date! Ohh, these penguins are just so stinkin’ cute. Yes, there is three, wait for the story… the one down in front was the original sample. The top left was supposed to be the online changed up one. However, with the change in orientation I messed up stamping the inside piece.

Hey, it happens, right!

No one wanted to see that inside go to the bits n pieces container so we made a third one. All of these added something which each addition. Can you see the adds? Let’s read it down by card…

Starting with the original

The DSP is from the Whimsy & Wonder DSP pack. The colors here are Misty Moonlight, Crumb Cake and Pale Papaya for the cardstock. Same with the ink but also adding Memento Black.

Here is the first alternative– live

It was suggested adding in some red. I loved the idea and grabbed Merry Merlot. Adding a layer of that to the DSP, changing the balloon color and also adding a party hat. Sooo cute, great idea everyone! here is where I messed up though. When stamping the inside layer, I forget to shift that orientation too. Had it all stamped out went to add it.

Damn, wrong direction…

What do you do, you grab a new piece and stamp it correctly. I told everyone that I was going to put it into the bits n pieces…. I could hear the gasp through the computer. Several suggested to create a third card. Here is what we created…

Wanting to create a more girly version a bow was necessary! Changed out the ribbon to match the Pale Papaya card base. Also needed to change the orientation back too. Did you see yesterday’s card?!?
