Saying good by to a Tree

Have you had the honor of using one the of the longest active stamp sets that Stampin’ Up! has?? Lovely as a Tree (w-128655 c-127793) has been around since 2001. Selling over 200,000 stamp sets. Dang that is a heck of a lot of TREES.
The demonstrators had fun on Facebook today. We flooded our feeds and Stampin’ Up!’s feeds using this stamp set today… It needs to go out with honor and I was happy to share my love of this amazing set.
I can say this was one of my first stamp sets. I have it in the old clam shell box back when all stamps were only available on wood. My dad and many family members have enjoyed many a card featuring this stamp set. One year it was featured on my Christmas card and I would say used by several others for the same reason.
This box set, used the sunset cards made a couple of weeks ago. I have a friend that had surgery then some complications and had to go back in the hospital. With all the help she has been getting I knew that some thank you cards would be needed.
And you know that just dropping off the cards would not do!
The tree top here was stamped in Soft Suede, using the aquapainter (103954) and Mossy Meadow the “leaves” were colored. Once dried a touch of Wink of Stella (141897) was added, and then…. phew… the tree top was stamped a second time. Remember above… I said that mine is a wood mount… not a bad line up for just eyeballing it. right??
Wrapping the Acetate Card box (144628) with Soft Suede and a layer of Mossy Meadow to join the ends… added some Old Olive Sheer Ribbon (144171) to have a place to “hang” the fussy cut oak leaf and feel better soon tag.
Lovely as a Tree you will always be a staple in my retired stash… thank you for being around for so long….
Enjoy the inspiration and … Have a Great Day getting Crafty!!
