Planting Flowers Veggies and more on the Homestead
Planting Flowers Veggies and more
Here we are in the third week of May, dang can you believe it?? This week I have Planting Flowers Veggies and more for you!! Starting here at the fireplace. Joe asked me what I was going to do, well… Here is what I am going to do. I had the window box on the top. It has a ‘saucer’ so no damage to the top, I hope. Inside are some great shade loving plants. Plus, Dad, if you notice in the right corner behind the Silver Tea Kettle there is one of the square planters I brought home last week.
Although the other two are not far, They are here with Mom’s old Singer base. All three have succulents in them. I wanted to be able to bring them inside. Fingers crossed the cats will behave in the fall. Hahaha. That basket on the table is from Joe’s Birthday flowers. It has succulents from inside in them. Moss Roses in the bird cages.

Now on to pots… Dad I kept your big pots (left photo) and put them on the side going to the Chicken Coop, two of the pots that were there had holes. Those two are not in the garbage. The third that was there was moved to the Birch Tree garden. The middle in self explanatory, nesting boxes off the chicken coop. The last is Paula’s old concrete pots. Guys are you noticing all the different colors??
- Red White and Blue in the new Wheel Barrel spot.
- Pink, White and Red the front walk
- Orange, White and Yellow off the side of the porch
- Red and Orange in the Birch garden (sorry no photo)
- Purple and White over by the Chicken Coop
- Purple, Red and White on the deck, still working on that.
Plus, I am sure that there will be lots more before I am done. Additionally, I have been trying to get the hanging baskets done too. The plant is in the house and needs to be separated.
How about a peek at the veggie garden.
Left is the potatoes, top will soon be grapes and bottom is onions. With the rain today I am sure that things will get even better. Now all we need is some warm weather. Did you plant some veggies yet??

Lastly, We have the copper pots over by the new seating area. I have taken one morning to enjoy some coffee out here. All I need now is warmer weather. However, the last photo is not much today. This is Joe’s Grandmas rose bush. And dang is it loaded with buds. You can see photo bombing here is an Iris that I got from my parents old place. Looking amazing for sure.
Humm, I think that is all for today.. Lots of Photos and more to come for sure.
Hugs and Have a Great Day getting Crafty!!
