Pressed Petal for Coffee and Cards

Sooo much fun playing with scraps on Coffee and Cards this morning! The Pressed Petal DSP has 24 sheets double sided (149500). All of the above pieces were scraps. Even the layering pieces. Now let’s take a closer look at each of the ideas. Starting with the card on the left… This was what started this whole idea. I had the strip of “script” paper and laying by it was the flower…

Power of 3 Rooted in Nature

I love these fall colors. I love this Stamp Set, Rooted in Nature (146482). I love helping YOU overcome your fear of adding MORE!! I also LOVE videos! I walk you through how to add just a few things AND I even explain a few whys. However, You need to be brave and TRY!! Starting with the left and working our way to the right. Adding just a little as we go… first, keeping with a small cluster of leaves and “wood”. Middle, adding a layer to the sentiment, the twine and a few additional leaves. Similarly to the first, the grouping is in the same location. The right, however,…

    Construction update and MORE!

Houston, we have insulation AND drywall. WooooHooo!! Two full sheets left too…HUMMMM, where can I put that?? Mudding has started too! I will leave that for the next Post. The Chickens say… bring on the fall weather!! The girls sure have been much happier with the cooler temperatures. However, this Sassafras is a reminder of what is to come. They are the first to turn color here. Pretty against all the green, BUT!! This poor butterfly/moth was not “feeling” the cooler temperatures. Joe brought her in for a warm up and an orange snack. Lastly, I NEEDED to take advantage of the tools being out!! I can not wait to…

    Shaker, Video and a Challenge

This time, we have a Global Design Project Challenge that has to do with colors. Yes, Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover and Real Red to be specific. Here is the back story….I thought, wouldn’t it be fun to be able to use the To Every Season Bundle (153051) for the challenge? However, I did not like the idea of Blueberry Bushel for leaves, keeping with the current season. Hummm, but the Blueberry Bushel could be snow?? So that is how this card started… Ending in, I am Thankful each day AND each “season” for you! Have you ever created a shaker card?? I love putting different “stuff” in the shaker,…

    Apple Smiles with Harvest Hellos

I was using up the last of the apples from my tree this afternoon and remembered that I forgot to share this SUPER simple but SUPER cute card. “You make me Smile!” sentiment is included in the Harvest Hellos Bundle (153037). Along with “Hey there, Pumpkin”, which would obviously need a Pumpkin instead, haha The Call Me Clover looks great with the Cherry Cobbler apple. No sponging or magic tricks with this one.. Right outta the punch. However, I cut the sentiment apart. Put I bet you figured that already. Can you picture the picnic?? The table cloth and all?? Right?!? Hugs, Have a Great Day getting Crafty!!

    Frogs and the auction

While working on a few things later in the evening. I am sad that it is getting dark earlier. I know, that is part of fall, but where did September go? This tree frog is super confused. The nights were getting cooler, and BAM back to the humidity. This small thing gets VERY loud. Trust me, I am talking not even in the downspout …loud. No construction updates. Poor Joe has been “adulting” at the mill. Even working some overtime the last couple weeks. His long weekend is coming up, so fingers crossed. We need some dry weather, because drywall needs to be picked up. I had plans to take…

    Spooky Wonderfully Wicked Tombstone Treats

Would you think to use vellum to add some SPOOKY?? I almost did not. GASP, right? The Tombstone “wrapper” is all vellum 1 1/2″ x 7″, with a 3/4″ x 6 1/4″ of Basic Grey and some scrap Whisper White. Tombstone wrapper starts with the Everyday Label punch (144668). First score your vellum 3 1/4″ from both ends. Then from left to right… first, slip your end section through just far enough to carefully pull out just the scored end. After pulling that end out, join the pieces/ends together. Pulling the scored end out just far enough to punch off “the end” for the “Tombstone” look. You could also do…

9/28 Coffee and Cards – Wonderfully Wicked

We had so much fun today on Coffee and Cards. I hope you can join us next time! Sooooo, today we created our own DSP… Using Blackberry Bliss, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape and Memento Black Inks. Our base cardstock color was Whisper White. Using only the Wonderfully Wicked Stamp set (150547) images. The live video produced these three. However, I was able to add a fourth card afterwards. Dontcha, LOVE those little bats on the first card?? The image and punch is part of a new bundle To Every Season (153051). Cutting specific sections of “DSP” for the perfect background. After that, picking the perfect add on. Either, ribbon,…

Using the Wonderfully Wicked Bundle (153041) and the Coffin Treat Boxes (150451) is the perfect way to START!! For the coffins you will need either Tear n Tape or Multipurpose glue. The coffins are about 1 1/4 thick and that is a nice stash of candy! As you see the additional items are some metallic pearls, DSP and ribbon. Tombstones with Wonderfully Wicked

The poor black kitty is lost in the cemetery. WHAT?? Where did those tombstones come from?? I will be happy to tell you! Everyday Label punch (144668), do you own it?? I know you do! After that, you will need a 1 3/4 inch piece of Smoky Slate cardstock. This is one of those exceptions to the rules. Punch first, then Stamp. However, you will want to “drag” your edges over your Crafty Whisper White Ink (147277) prior to adding to your card. Also “dragging” the Basic Black layer across the Crafty Whisper White. NOTE: you may also want to use a sponge to get in the exact places you…

    Construction updates and lazies

Poor Joe, BUT all the sub-flooring has been replaced. I have been working on the prettier side of things. These will replace the plain and boring globes on the old ceiling fan. Joe and I wanted to find a floor close to the hardwood we want to eventually do. We did find a winner. In addition, I found the the PERFECT paint color. White Sox is OVER the mess and displacement. Poor Mr. Bigglesworth has missed sitting in the window. All of the kitties have been real good with all the craziness going on. Thankfully and hopeful it will be completed VERY soon! Hugs, Have a Great Day getting Crafty!!

This Happy Pumpkin has treats to deliver! A cookie, special candy, even maybe a TRICK?? The Harvest Hellos Bundle (153037) is perfect to add to this Mini Pizza Box (144645) top. It really needed some friends, welcome the Wonderfully Wicked Bundle (153041). The Silver Metallic Thread (138402) is PERFECT for spider webs, along with Crafty Whisper White Ink (147277). Finally our Black Kitty, just for you Paula, she is full of Wink of Stella (141897). 9/21 Coffee and Cards

Today the thing that we focused on for Coffee and Cards was… Sponging. We also like to call it, dirtying it up. The Harvest Hellos (b-153037) is perfect to try this technique out. The punch also makes quick work of images. Several Colors were used on each apple/pumpkin. No, I do not have a sponge for every color, buttt! How much are you liking the “burlap” background?? That comes from the Pressed Petal DSP (149500). Adding the sentiments from Itty Bitty Greeting (151331) and Country Home (147678). I know I have been talking about it, but ALL the new, Coffee and Cards videos are on my YouTube channel. Here is…

    Apple Box with Harvest Hellos

This Fun Fold “Apple Box” using the Harvest Hello Bundle (153037). I did use a sentiment from the Country Home Stamp Set (147678). The “Happy Harvest Blessings” went perfectly with the apples and box. The Twist fun fold is SOOO easy! Using a 4 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock you score on the diagonal from end to end. Go ahead and use your bone folder (102300) to get a crisp fold. Using the flat side (across the top edge) and score at 5 7/8 for the center fold. Be sure that the “pocket” side is your front. Layering with the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder (152320). Adding the “used”…

Good Morning!! White Sox apparently was needing attention this morning. I woke up wrapped up with legs. hahaha The other day, Joe and I went to Culver for a pizza fix and not too far from the lake we saw two deer. 9/14 Coffee and Cards

Coffee and Cards this week we are still working with the Perennial Essence Suite (152166). Today though we are working with just the leaves. There are two different types of leaves. Lets take a closer look…. I started with was the middle card this week. Punches, and a pretty edge. Do you see the Stitched Shapes die (145372)? Adding that to the second and third card holding the sentiment. First up, stamp, ink and paper. I sponged the separate sentiment piece so that it would POP! Keeping with the power of 3, like last week, leaves, ribbon and embellishments were added. The Braided Linen Trim (147808) is shown “pulled” apart,…
