Hamscher Homestead,  Happy Birthday

Last week….

My favorite neighbor had a birthday… we usually get each other something not too big, a plant or something like that. Last year I think I picked up some cute windchimes… This year, it was a lantern, LED and solar.

You know though that I could not just leave it naked!!

This tag was the perfect, spring/farm touch. She has taught me a ton of things. She has taken me under wing about farm/country life… helped me can for the first time, brought some crazy chickens to the homestead and loved my like one of her kids. I am GRATEFUL she moved across the street and that she has been so willing to educate a crazy student like me!!

She loves gingham and the rustic look of things. Creating this “tag” to attach to that cute lantern was fun and super easy!! 2 inch piece of crumb cake and then a few scraps for the sentiment and bird. Burlap ribbon pieces and of course some rhinestones placed just so…. The sentiment is from the Humming Along (148758) stamp set the bird and leaves are from Petal Palette (w-145785/c-145788) with coordinating dies Petals and More (145655). All three are retiring.

Decided to loop the ribbon so that is could be adjusted after attaching it to the lantern. Sooo darn cute!!

Happy Birthday, Judy!!….. Have a Great Day getting Crafty!!
