Hugs Happy Forest Friends

This full size post it note holder is super easy, uses one piece of cardstock, and can be decorated with ANY patterned paper. I would even say that you could use all cardstock and the layers could be embossed. However this Hugs Happy Forest Friends has much more. In keeping of the forest idea, you know that I would head towards those Tree Rings from the Hybrid Embossing folder. Although the Happy Forest Friends patterned paper is from a full Suite of products. I have not gotten that one yet.

The sentiment is not from that suite either, it comes from the Big Hooray! stamp set. I would say it is the perfect addition, especially coming from me, right??

Does it look familiar?? Yes, it sure does. This was one of the 12 Days of Crafty Christmas Gifts (link is for the whole playlist). However, this is perfect as a gift all year round. I especially love that it stands up. So much easier to find it on my VERY cluttered table top. Here is another thing, there is enough room to add a pen on the side. Two things that get lost very easily.

I however, did that tree ring slightly different.

I used Crumb Cake in the Hybrid Embossing Folder for the tree ring. Then I cut out a second one in Soft Suede and used the center cut out to be able to use only the outer ring or bark portion. Glue the two together for this look. I have daubers up the rings many times and it was time to try something different. What do you think?? Which do you like better??
