Global Design Project Challenge
This week’s #GDP159 was the theme “Fall in Love”. Taking a Que from Joe, my hubby, his favorite color is green. Using the Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla to be able to bring in the fall colors, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, So Saffron and Rich Razzleberry. The Rooted in Nature bundle(c-148352 w-148353) did most of the work for me. Lets talk embossing folders, the Woodland (139673) is the first layer. Using a VERY light hand and a sponge (141337) with soft suede ink… LIGHTLY rub just the tree trunks. Using this “technique” you can even see the bark breaks. Next, the Petal Burst (141493) folder is the top layer. Working with Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, So Saffron, Rich Razzleberry and Crumb Cake daubers (133773), again very lightly rubbing in a couple different spots for each color. The Crumb Cake was used kinda all over. The Die cut leaves…. Have you gotten any of the Stampin’ Write Markers (147154)?? Let me tell you this is my kind of coloring!! No one stamp every ends up the same…. which is the best part!! All you do is randomly color with the same markers as daubers (above). Do not forget to huff on the stamp prior to stamping. The leaves used here are second generation. What does that mean?? It means that after you huff and stamp then huff again and stamp the second time. You do not re ink the stamp. You will see a more muted color. The first generation is a more deep/darker color. phew…. Got Ribbon?? Ohh, yes we do! Burlap ribbon (141487) and Lace Trim(141672) combined together. Hummm, the Leaves Trinket (146343) was brought in for the shine. The “wonderful” card needed a sentiment. The inside needed to be as WOW as the front but simple too. The Crumb Cake trunk and Rich Razzleberry “You are Wonderful” because the hubby has been working a ton. Love you Joe! Thank you again Global Design Project for a fun theme. Have a Great Day getting Crafty!!
