First two Christmas in July cards. You will love it!
First two Christmas in July
Here are the First two Christmas in July cards. A reminder first, the Sheer Ribbon (returning favorite), Red Rhinestones and Tidings of Christmas DSP was all included. Let’s starting with the Sending Hugs stamp set. This really was my very first idea when I saw this stamp set. The hard part was how was I going to create that peek-a-boo part? hummm.
You are going to want to add the Layering Diorama dies to your list. I know, I know, everyone is using them for ponds, water and things like that. Well, how about this?? Ohh, yes you do see the Wink of Stella on a few of those leaves too. I was thinking too, that maybe a few more of those Red Rhinestones might need to be added. Thoughts??
Lastly, on this card is the inside and envelope. The “Christmas” for the front and inside comes from the Banner Year stamp set. Those holly leaves were perfect for the envelope.
Here is the second card idea. This one uses the Tidings & Trimmings bundle. Which yes, goes with the DSP. That did help me decide what stamps to use on this card. I love how the “sprigs” coordinate with the DSP. However, wanting to create a different sentiment piece. I was playing around with the stars. I was super excited when the big sentiment fit the big star!! Well, there are two different sizes!!
Here is a better view of the front layers. Yes that is DSP in the Evening Evergreen. Yes, I am once again mixing my patterns. More Red Rhinestones and the envelope is stamped to match.
Did you know that you can set up a template on your Stamparatus?? What do I mean?? After die cutting that start I wanted it to be easy to stamp. So here is how I did that. Took a scrap piece of cardstock. Cut out the star, you can use one that you already cut too. Use your magnets to hold it in place. They set up your stamp to fit as you desire. BOOM, there is your template. Just like magic!!
