Coloring,  In-Colors,  Paper Pumpkin

Dear Friend

Today is all about a Paper Pumpkin alternative.

As a Paper Pumpkin subscriber since the beginning, I can honestly say that if you have been outta the loop for a while, you NEED to get back in!! Shelli Gardner, co-founder of Stampin’ Up! helped to design this kit.

The top card, in Pool Party, is from the kit, mostly as the directions state. I added a stamped imagine on the sentiment and tweaked the twine. I would love to get this card, how about you?

Now, for the alternative card….

I hear you cringing, however, a fussy cut was necessary. Can you hear the feathers asking to be cut out?? YUP! and the flowers stamped on vellum too!

But, anyway, the kit colors ask for Petal Pink, I used Rococo Rose instead, adding in Pretty Peacock. There is also, a touch of Mossy Meadow. Did you know that you can use and empty aqua painter with shimmer paint?? That is how the shimmer paint was added to just the small sections on the feathers.

The colored sections of the feather also use a light handed touch of Rococo Rose and Pretty Peacock. This was applied using an almost dry aqua painter. Fun touch??

Let’s talk vellum… the flower image was stamped and put aside to dry, or use a heat tool for faster drying time. Did you put that aqua painter away?? Well, pull it back out. That is how the flowers and leaves got their color. Using the BACK side to color and again a light hand.

Hummm, this card could get a big sister.

Check back later in the week. Some more alternatives are on their way… Have a Great Day getting Crafty!!
