Days of Snow and a New Bird

Here we are the third week of January and after several days of snow… It is actually looking like winter once again. This week here on the Homestead, Days of Snow and a New Bird for you. Starting off with about 12 inches of snow. Sitting at the kitchen table with my coffee and just enjoyed watching the snow fall. I know, I know, I do not have to go anywhere, however even the kids got to stay home.

I opened the blinds to see all the kitty foot prints. Plus, the Ducks were unhappy about not being able to go swimming. However, they did not even want to leave the pen. They knew the pond was frozen. Off to feed all the critters I went. Thankful that the hubby found me a pair of coveralls to wear outside. Dang they are toasty. Even in the cold that we have had this weekend.

Finally, I was able to get a photo of the new bird that I saw about two weeks ago. This little pudgy thing is the only one, I think. Usually I see several of one type, not with this one. I forget what Cindy told me it could be. I will have to ask again. If you know, please comment. It is the one on the corner of the feeder.
