Country/Farm Theme

How did I do?? It started off a tough Challenge.. #gdp147… The Global Design Project this time chose the theme of Country/Farm. Using an older technique and older supplies (At Home with You 143681, At home Framelits 143727, Woodland Textured embossing folder 139673) Thinking of Country life, which I live, I think of barns, animals and even tractors, The best time of year on the farm is in the fall…. turning of the leaves, harvests, sunflowers and pumpkins. Picturing the woods surrounding the barn and a hint of beauty in the potted sunflowers adding a couple pumpkins to remind us of the season.. Using the watercolor pencils to color the At Home imagine and then roughing it up slightly with a sponge (use sponge and some ink gently sweep over the image). Pulling the Burlap ribbon apart and adding that to our “So Happy You’re Here” sign. Lets talk techniques… the “Roof” is a Faux Metal technique..See the Stampin” Up! video here. Using several layers of the Silver embossing powder and roughing it with Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso Ink for the color variation. The “Barn” is also embossing with copper and silver using a very small paint brush and the versa mark refill. The “forest” was roughed up with Early Espresso that brought out the tree trunks. Happy you are here today.. Thanks for checking out my Global Design Challenge entry! Have a Great Day getting Crafty!!
