    Sail Away with Well Said

I am sure this has never happened to anyone else, but me… haha. Did you plan to use something, but then things change. This card has a new life as a masculine birthday card. What do you think?? Curious, where all the parts come from?? The two DSP (Designer Series Papers) are from the Come Sail Away DSP (149481), meaning the lighthouse pattern and the stripe. Both of the sentiments are from the Well Said stamp set (148796). However, did you know that that stamp set has 51 different stamps?? ALL the sentiments you would need in one year! Holy Cow! Let’s talk about my favorite parts… Whisper White Solid…

    Happy Father’s Day

How are you spending Fathers’s Day?? The Hubby and I will be going to see my parents today. All I know is that dinner is on the agenda. Have you had fun with the Best Catch (148598) Stamp set and coordinating dies Catch of the Day (148815)?? This cattail section is a fun add. Let’s color a bit. Stampin’ Blends, Soft Suede (147273), Mango Melody (147945), Daffodil Delight (144603) and even Pumpkin Pie (144599). You could use Wink of Stella (141897) or Shimmer paint (Champange-147044 or Frost White-147046) for the metal look on the lure too. Dad, How many lures have you lost to the cat tails or weeds?? haha…

    You are wonderful..

Global Design Challenge day #193. This is a color challenge this week, and WOW and what a color group we have! Now…. how to get started?? Let me walk you through my process… Knowing the colors already, I pulled all three color cardstock. Check which ribbon if any that might go… Masculine or feminine? Fancy or Simple? Stamps? Pulled the Crackle Paint (148752) just to see what the Night of Navy would look like on the Pineapple Punch… WOW. Well, you know the rest. The Rooted in Nature (146482) has some “wonderful” sentiments, dontcha agree?? This one is my favorite… you can make it a Thank You, Birthday or Congratulations…

Still gearing up for Father’s Day?? Or is it just a birthday card that you need? Do you have fishermen in your life?? I sure do! My Dad, brothers and nephew. This would be fitting of any of them. The Best Catch stamp set (148598), coordinating dies Catch of the Day (148815) are all you need for the fishermen in your life! Starting with the water… do you think of different things that you could have done, of course, after the card is done?? I do! A sweep of the Balmy Blue ink pad (147105) along the bottom of this layer adds the look of water, but thinking now it…

    Paper Pumpkin-Fathers Day

It is getting close to Fathers’s Day, do you need the perfect card?? How about using parts of your Paper Pumpkin? Today, only the stamps are from the May kit. At first, I was thinking a floating card, but due to unhappy stamping this was changed into just a quick card. Tomorrow is a new day for the floating card. Let’s turn lemons into lemonade. Still taking que from the box, pulled out a Pretty Peacock card base and ink. Add a little more sentiment from the Well Said (148796) stamp set. Pick a bird to highlight, using a mostly dry aqua painter. You need a light hand so you…
