Happy 4th of July to you and your family.

Happy Birthday America! Sounds kinda funny saying Happy Birthday to a Country, but… That really is what today is all about. How as a new country “we” decided “we” wanted freedom from Tierney and Oppression. Those freedoms were as the result of many brave men and women. Freedoms that at times get taken for granted. As a Marine mom, I have a small understanding of the drive that it takes to be brave and go off to fight for those freedoms. The worry of a family when loved ones go on faith and belief that our country stands for Freedom. These freedoms that are still alive today, gratefully!! Hugs and…

Flowers for Every Season, just a flower??

This is more then just a flower… Would you agree?? I have a friend that loves sunflowers. So I wanted to be sure to send this amazing card to her. Cutting out the petal outline two times and layering them … AMAZING!! I bet you remember the cards we did for Coffee and Cards on Saturday. Well the Jar punch is part of this same suite. Flowers for Every Season (154132), is what I like to call a “super” suite, because it has two stamp set bundles, ribbon, DSP, embellishments, Shaker Domes, Memory and More card pack and cards. But that is not all! It also includes four of the…

    Smooches with Lovely Lipstick…..bye bye

When you talk about Lovely Lipstick… I think of a S.W.A.K. or lipstick kiss. Old school I know. Lipstick nowadays doesn’t leave a mark. Which is why I picked this DSP to highlight this beautiful color. I call this set the Hello Fabulous set… isn’t it funny how sets get knick names? I have several … How about you? Please tell me I am not the only one… The crazytown bus would be very lonely, haha. ANYWAY, All 5 of these cards are made from scraps, left overs, and not needed card bases. Funny how when you know what you have you can create some amazing things. (wink wink) A…

Sooo much more happiness…. Here are the other pieces that I had to use up… I do not want to end up with an overflowing bits and pieces container like before… YIKES!! Adding a few extra pieces for these three. Paula, do you notice that little piece?? Apparently it was not too small. Adding tulips for an Easter card, an extra layer and a few flowers. Sending Hugs w/Inspiring Iris

Sending virtual hugs… This card happened because I was showing someone how to do the “leaves”. Using some water and Mossy Meadow reinker. I have a questions for you…. I think that these “leaves” look like cattails? Is it hard to tell with the ribbon there? Wink of Stella… Ohhh, how I wish that the Wink of Stella photographed better! Here is the result…. to make it even better, how about a fancy fold? Here is how to create this fold… card base of 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 score at 4 1/4. Then you cut off 3/4 of an inch. What am I talking about?? “You are somebody, who makes everybody, feel like somebody” That is the sentiment on the front. Love it right?? This sentiment and flowers are from the Inspiring Iris stamp set- 149268. It is a two step stamp set. Meaning the outline is one stamp and the flower “petals” are another. The trio of paper lanterns for Christmas. The Christmas is Gleaming bundle (153006) is on low inventory (at time of post). So, I thought I would post quick. Here is the back story….I thought, wouldn’t it be fun to be able to use the To Every Season Bundle (153051) for the challenge? However, I did not like the idea of Blueberry Bushel for leaves, keeping with the current season. Hummm, but the Blueberry Bushel could be snow?? Apple Smiles with Harvest Hellos

I was using up the last of the apples from my tree this afternoon and remembered that I forgot to share this SUPER simple but SUPER cute card. “You make me Smile!” sentiment is included in the Harvest Hellos Bundle (153037). Along with “Hey there, Pumpkin”, which would obviously need a Pumpkin instead, haha The Call Me Clover looks great with the Cherry Cobbler apple. No sponging or magic tricks with this one.. I wanted to coordinate and also highlight the different colors used in this pumpkin pattern. I know, I know, Mint Macaron Pumpkins are very unusual. So are Soft Sea Foam ones, but why not??
