    Love Note w/butterflies

    Do you leave love notes to your sweetie?? My poor hubby has been having a rough couple days at work. However, I do not want to let the cat outta the bag… these are all extra pieces from another project. Where to begin, the group of hearts is from the Be Mine Stitched dies (148527) the butterflies are from the Butterfly Duet Punch (148523) and lastly the from sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set (148580). I almost forgot, the Metallic Pearls (146282) on each butterfly. What do you do with extra pieces?? I mean Dies and Punches?? In other words… Trash or Treasure? Enjoy your weekend…..Have a Great…

    Love What You Do #GDP201

    I love giving treats… How about you?? How about a treat for a teacher, friend or neighbor?? This week on the Global Design Project, the challenge has to do with these colors… Great Fall color combos, dontcha think? This creation was simple leftover pieces from other projects. Mossy Meadow base 2 1/2 x 7 scored at 3 1/4 and 3 3/4. Add the decorations you want. Stamp using the Merry Merlot ink and the flower bunch from the Love What You do (148042) set. The 1/2 base is just wide enough so that this cutie even stands up. No need for gluing the candy because the “belly band” holds it…

    Results from the County Fair

    As you know… I brought a few projects to the County Fair. To say the least I am super happy!! First is the sign, it was even posted on the local radio station site!! WOOOOHOOOOO! Wood, paper and metal…All my favorite things. The ‘grateful’ was cut by Simon’s Speed Shop, Thank you Shelli! All the letters, flowers and butterflies are paper. The original post is here.     Pressed Petals… Thinking of You

    Super busy Coffee and Cards today, PHEW…. Had fun playing with this set, pretty much for the first time!! Beauty Abounds (148726) and the coordinating Butterfly Beauty Die set (148536). If I were to be honest, I need those thanks cards… my purse was almost empty!! Vellum Butterflies on all five cards!! WooooHOOO!! A very happy heart for this girl! Wait??     Global Design Project Challenge Day!! WooHoo, can you tell I was feeling patriotic? This week is a sketch challenge.. here was the inspiration. Remember yesterdays post?? The jar was coloring one of today’s ribbon. Did you know that with an ink refill some water and either Whisper White Twine (124262) or Polka Dot Tulle (146912) ribbon you can make it ANY color you need?? Ohhhh, I just realized that there is one more still to try… Whisper White Flax Ribbon… Check back next week for that!     Today is all about a Paper Pumpkin alternative. As a Paper Pumpkin subscriber since the beginning, I can honestly say that if you have been outta the loop for a while, you NEED to get back in!! Shelli Gardner, co-founder of Stampin’ Up! helped to design this kit. The top card, in Pool Party, is from the kit, mostly as the directions state.     Phew, it was a busy Coffee and Cards this week. We fit in 3 full cards. I would say on the simple stamping side of things. And using scraps and pieces. Have you fallen in love with the Daisy Lane (bundle-151118 stamp-149325) stamp set yet?? Well, that was what we worked with this week. The font on the sentiments are easy to read and so very pretty!!     Squirrels for Spring.

    Fable Friends (148670) will be in the new Annual Catalog. This little cute squirrel along with it’s friends, the bunny and Mama Duck with her kids. Are you ready for Easter??     Coffee and cards March 23…. did you watch?? This week it was a two for one…. Basically the same, but with a different looks. would you agree?? Here are what you would need, Petal Palette (145788) stamp set, Butterfly Gala (148580) stamp set, Gingham Gala DSP (148554 due back in stock SOON), Ombre Ribbon-Lemon Lime Twist (144234) and Burlap Ribbon (141487) plus matching cardstock.  The little butterfly could be fussy cut (Butterfly Duet punch 148523 or bundle 150599 back in stock SOON).     Fresh Fig

    Today’s In-Color 2017-2019 color is Fresh Fig. Pairing that with the Dandelion Wishes (146747) add a little heat embossing, Fresh Fig (144174) sheer ribbon, and Whisper White/Silver Twine. Adding some depth to the dandelion with a dauber and Fresh Fig Ink to the “flower” heads. Using versa-mark and white embossing powder… Heat to set and amazing. Even the front sentiment is heat embossed. The inside was stamped with craft ink. The inside sentiment is from the Humming Along (148758) for another birthday card.     Powder Pink

    Powder Pink is our next 2017-2019 In-Color that we are going to talk about…. Our above birthday card uses that Incredible Like You (148708) stamp set. Add in the Stamparatus (146276 or 148187), Whisper White polka dot (146912) ribbon, Share What You Love pearls (146927) and both Powder Pink and Soft Sea Foam ink. Phew…. The lines used the jump technique with the Stamparatus, The flowers, a two step stamp using the same Powder Pink ink. Then…. I hear you groaning, but yes they are fussy cut out.     Another challenge for me on Simple Stamping, Using the Dear Doily (148690) stamp set, with Gray Granite and Smoky Slate cardstock. The ink is Tranquil Tide, which just as a reminder will be retiring the end of May. Are you planning on getting yours early?? This is really the way to go… card stock, ink, refill and ribbon will all retire May 31. The card was designed for one of my library classes….. check out my events for the next one.
