You are Wonderful – Slimline, Rooted in Nature.

You are Wonderful Slimline. I love how the “You are Wonderful (Slimline)” sentiment fits inside the big tree die. Grab your Stampin’ Blends out to color your leaves. The Plaid Tidings DSP helped me pick with colors to use. The brisk weather the last couple days is getting me ready for the fall cards. How about you?? I shared how to create this card on a Facebook live here. All that you need for this one is the Rooted in Nature stamp set, Nature’s Roots dies and cardstock to match your plaid that you picked. The twine and ribbon combo is one of my favorites. Wrap your Linen Thread around…

Coloring Sunflowers using the Stampin’ Write Markers.

Grab your Regals to Color Sunflowers using the Stampin’ Write Markers. That is my go to color family for fall. Darker yellow, a couple different oranges, greens and reds too. Yes, the perfect fall color family! However pairing the Very Vanilla helps to darken the colors just a little. Curious how I created this card? Check out the Tuesday edition Coffee and Cards for the full run down. Yes, I sure did mix the colors to get the sunflowers to look like this! I did the same with a few of the leaves also! Have your gotten your markers out and played with lately? WHAT? You don’t have any? Well…

8/22 Coffee and Cards Fun Folds

Two fun fold cards. On 8/22 Coffee and Cards we took a look at a fun fold idea. The fold concept is the same, but the orientation is different. I do love how the Stitched Rectangles and the Stitched So Sweetly (bundle stamp and dies) fits together. Yes, they are slightly skinnier but still look GREAT!! You can see the difference in this picture on the left. How do you feel about that?? I can totally live with it. Have you tried out the Beautiful Friendship stamp set yet?? It is a distinctive stamp set, I love how it creates the dimensional all with one stamp. Need another look at…

These two cards are good examples. You can see the step by step in the live here. Grab you 1/2 inch to 1 inch scraps to create all those lovely layers and extra patterns. I just realized what the card on the left needed. And I sure wish that I would have figured that out during the live. I am not going to tell you because I will share it when I put that one together.…

    Global Design Project #255

It sure has been a LONNNg time since we have participated in a Global Design Project #255. This theme really spoke to me. I actually created one card in the facebook live and changed my mind. I will share that tomorrow. This card, a new SlimLine card uses the extra trees that we colored in the Coffee and Cards live. You will want to grab your Rooted in Nature stamps and Nature’s Roots dies. I do not know about you, but a little cooler temperatures would be nice. I will say some rain would be even better. Love you more than… Coffee or the new machine??

Okay, Love you more than… It really is not something that I can really pick which… You know how I am with my coffee. However, this new Cut and Emboss machine is pretty darn amazing. Did your grandma, mother or YOU have those plastic coffee cups that look like this one?? Mine sure did… It sure was a fun memory to remember. Stampin’ Write vs Stampin’ Blends

Stampin’ Write vs Stampin’ Blends markers… I would like to take a second to talk you through the different marker types that Stampin’ Up! offer… Starting with Stampin’ Write markers. These are a water based marker just like our ink pads. You can use them on your stamps to “color” an image or choose a water to highlight. Next is the Stampin’ Blends. They are an alcohol based marker. Quick to dry, easy to use to color a pearl and wonderful to color an already stamped image. Which would you choose Stampin’ Write vs Stampin’ Blends?? Water based sample… For both the Stampin’ Write AND Stampin’ Blends I choose the…

    Snow Front?

Sure does not look like a snowy scene. I really love how much this set changes when you change the colors. You can check the facebook live here. The only thing that was subtracted was the “smoke” from the chimney. To do that was just a matter of not inking that section of the cabin. Funny how the look changes also when you watercolor or just straight stamp. Can you tell which is which?? The first one (left) is the straight stamp. How can you tell? The leaf colors are darker. The “grass” in that one is where we started the watercolor technique. They the leaves on the second (middle)…
