Birthday or Dad?

Still gearing up for Father’s Day?? Or is it just a birthday card that you need? Do you have fishermen in your life?? I sure do! My Dad, brothers and nephew. This would be fitting of any of them. The Best Catch stamp set (148598), coordinating dies Catch of the Day (148815) are all you need for the fishermen in your life!

Starting with the water… do you think of different things that you could have done, of course, after the card is done?? I do! A sweep of the Balmy Blue ink pad (147105) along the bottom of this layer adds the look of water, but thinking now it would be even cooler if there was a second water layer, torn and again with a sweep of ink.

I will have to try it and share!

Smelling fishy? No… This fish has been stamped, die cut out and then “highlighted” with the ink using an aqua painter. Add a touch of iridescent scales using a dry aqua painter and shimmer paint.

Did you notice the top of the “cattails”? Quick add of either marker/Stampin’ Blends in soft suede and a fun detail.
