Another August Paper Pumpkin Alternative idea.
Another August Paper Pumpkin
Here we are with Another August Paper Pumpkin Alternative. This one I have to say thank you to my friend Michelle! She is an amazing artist. She shared this at an event that I was at recently. I knew that I had to try it and needed the perfect supplies to do so. Curious what this started out as??
A soup can
Yup, seriously a soup can. First I washed it out. I cut the bottom using my can opener and got to work. In my group Pumpkin Whispers… a Paper Club I did this in one of my alternative lives. Curious, what did you do with that beautiful yellow tissue paper that was inside??

I make more tissue sunflowers. You know that I will save/use the different colors for sure!! Using the Layering Circle dies (scallop circles included). However, do not forget to stamp the top layer of tissue for that leafy effect. I know that you do not mind that I also fussy cut out a few stamped leaves from another cardstock piece included in the kit.
Adding a handle was important to this cute little hanging decor item. Using the Threaded Twine was just what I need. Adding a bit of glimmer to each of the sunflower centers.
Here is one of my favorite parts of this… One envelope was all that I needed to cover MOST of the can. You can see here that I was even able to fold it over the bottom. Still curious about how I did this?? You know that all you have to do is ask your question in the comments.
