Almost Harvesting Freezing and a Start

Here is a peek at what I have been getting from the garden these days… Jalapeños, Tomatoes, Potatoes and there was a Red Chili in here too. Eggs of course is from the coop. So I have been harvesting potatoes as I see them pop through the surface of the dirt. The tops have died and are safe so long as no one tills the row.

Ohhh but wait….

I found a couple beauties to share from the fruit trees.

Okay starting on left. The Red Delicious is not as loaded as years past. However, the apples that are on it are a great size. I do not spray my trees so as you can see in the phot on the right, the peach has a hole. I am okay with this… cut that part off and ohhh it is soo yummy!! Now this is the VERY first year getting fruit from this tree. I look forward to more soon.

No matter inside or outside, there is always a helper. I cleaned 10 dozen ears of corn. The chickens are still picking through it all. Cut the corn off the cob, par cooked it and bagged it all up. The final count, 4 gallon size bags and 38 quart size. And let me just add it is going to be soo amazing to have it this winter. To say it was yummy was an understatement.

He is the acrobat in the first photo. He was wanting attention of course!! Yes, he did get it. Momma was sitting beside me.

I have three projects in the works a the moment; Two outside and One inside. Here is the plan…

• Front Flowerbed Redo
• Two new planters for the walkway
• Painting the foyer

I have parts for most of the list. First, I need to order a few bushes for the front flowerbed. I have several plant ready to plant. I also have several to move to new locations in the garden. Second, I need to b e sure how tall I want the planters to be so that I can get the rest of the wood needed. I have the 2 x 4’s I need the 1 x 6’s. Third, I started this one Last Night but will not finish until Tuesday. I will share next week.

There are a few other painting projects in the works. Need to be sure of the colors so that I can continue. Hummm, What color should the front door be on the inside?? That is only one thing, of soooo many. Time will tell what is next.
