A Look Back and Signs of Spring work

A Look Back and Signs of Spring

Here is a blast from the past. This happened 14 years ago. Joe and I were married right here on the Homestead. That is a Look Back and Signs of Spring all in one, right?? My craft room was our ceremony site. The kitchen and family room were the site of the rest of the festivities. I always say that there is good mojo in the craft room and this is one of the reasons. Both of our families were here, Trevor was home too. Remember back then he was a Marine about to be deployed for the first time. Lots of great memories and laughs that day. Although lots has changed since then. Even just in the photo. The pier is gone, the ‘hill’ in the background gone and the paddle boat has holes in it. Hahaha.

Here are your signs of Spring… Now, even the tulips have started to bloom. I have been truly enjoying all the Daffodils too. I am looking forward to more planting again this fall. Joe and I have already talked about it. Second photo is my creeping phlox that is up on the hill. This is the big patch. However, there are several that I really hope get even bigger! Third, is a Daffodil, yes Daffodil. I need more of these for sure!! Lastly the photo of one of our Apple trees. The warm weather is going to open these all up!! YEAH!!!

Here is the working part…

The first is one of our Redbud trees. There were so many suckers on it that the poor thing was struggling. However, do not worry, the white spots are so those suckers do not grow back. Fingers crossed of course! The second photo here is not me working but a butterfly working on the flowers of the Weeping Cherry Tree in the Memorial Garden. This was the first butterfly of the season. Usually I do not get to see them until my birthday. I will take this one as a blessing for sure!!

Final days to get your kit!! Sign up here!!
